Paul van Dyk plans to premiere a new live show, The Essence of Acid, at Dreamstate SoCal on Saturday, November 21, 2026. The festival takes place at the Queen Mary Waterfront in Long Beach, California, on November 20 and 21.
According to the organizer, the performance combines new music, acid-focused pieces and rebuilt versions of tracks from van Dyk's catalogue. The setup places synthesizers, drum machines and other electronic hardware at the center of the show.
The announcement describes this as the worldwide debut of the concept. Check Dreamstate's official updates for the running order and any changes.
